James Carville on Trump Administration: “The greatest crisis we’ve had in the United States in the last 80 years”

James Carville was the special guest on CNN News to offer his view on 100 days of the Donald Trump administration.

The 80 year-old made a bold prediction regarding the Trump administration and was invited on the news bulletin to defend his forecast.

In February, Carville panned an article in the New York Times claiming that the Trump administration would suffer a massive collapse within 30 days. He also advised Democrats to ‘roll over and play dead, allow the Republicans to crumble beneath their own weight and make the American people miss us’.

Carville was quizzed by CNN...“Is it collapsing, or has it collapsed”?

Carville replied: “Let’s take the middle ground here and say it’s collapsing, and I’ll meet you halfway”.

“This is also a glorious opportunity for the Democratic Party to redefine itself as we face the greatest crisis we’ve had the United States in the last 80 years. You understand what we’re looking at. We’re looking at the kind of end of the rule of law. We’re looking at blockheads and buffoons running the country”

Upon being asked about the unpopularity of the Democrat ‘brand’, Carville replied: “I’m not going to get been out of shape about the party rated in March of an odd number year. Let’s see what happens in Virginia.

I’m just calling on Democrats to be strategic, not to be emotional, to understand what the dynamics are. You think people that are buffoons are gonna stop being buffoons? No, they’re gonna keep doing that. And you’re looking at Stephen Miller running the foreign policy and defense policy the United States. Take a look at that guy. You really want him running the show? Is that where you are"?
