TV Celeb Chef Simon Majumdar Headlines “Sous Chef Knock Out”

Club Members and Sous Chefs will be paired to compete as teams for two elimination rounds.

COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, June 14, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The kitchen battleground is set for the Sous Chef Knockout, featuring TV celebrity Chef Simon Majumdar at the Center Club Orange County in Costa Mesa on Wednesday, June 21, 5:30-8:00pm. Proceeds from ticket sales support the 2017 Center Club Cares beneficiary Working Wardrobes, a non-profit which helps people overcome challenges and find meaningful employment.

While event guests enjoy complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres, three sous chefs, including returning champion Susannah Benchetler Johnston, Alana Schmidt and Adam Miller, will receive cutthroat challenges by Chef Simon. Restauranteur Wing Lam and Sir Chef Bruno Serato will preside over the final decisions on elimination rounds.

Chef Simon is a world-renowned cook, broadcaster and author who has dedicated the second half of his time on this planet to fulfill his ambitions to “Go Everywhere. Eat Everything.” It is a journey that has taken him to all 50 states and to dozens of countries around the world. He has written three books including Eat My Globe, Eating for Britain, and his latest, Fed, White and Blue, which catalogues his journey to American citizenship. Simon is also a well-recognized personality the Food Network, regularly appearing on shows such as Iron Chef America, The Net Iron Chef, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Cutthroat Kitchen, Extreme Chef and Beat Bobby Flay. He has also appeared as an expert commentator on National Geographic’s major series “EAT: The Story of Food.” He lives in Los Angeles.

The Sous Chef Knockout is a precursor to the Annual Charity Classic “Hops & Vines” on September 28, 2017, both hosted by Center Club Cares. Center Club Cares is a multi-faceted, non-profit arm of Center Club Orange County, that raises funds through donations, and corporate sponsorships to grant monies and support for Orange County-based philanthropic organizations, such as Working Wardrobes.
