His Holiness Dr. Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji conducts united and inclusive chanting for universal peace and natural balance.
World over, we are experiencing the adverse impact of eco-tampering – today, more than ever. Mankind cannot afford the wrath of the nature manifesting in forest fires, tsunamis, earth quakes, floods, drought – all at the same time in different places.
At such a time, His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, pontiff of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham of Mysuru, India is promoting human responsibility in improving the ecological balance and maintaining it. We have to strive to maintain the bio-diversity in addition to activities helping the balance of natural elements.
Hanuman Chalisa Parayana on the banks of River Krishna in Vijayawada
Based on the recent natural calamities the world is witnessing, Sri Swamiji has decided to offer united prayers to the natural elements for world peace. His Holiness, leading from the front, chose the banks of River Krishna to offer united parayana prayers on the 5th Jan 2019. Starting at 4PM, thousands of devotees started pouring in and by the time the chanting started at 630PM, there were more than 100,000 nature lovers determined to pray for the natural balance.
The reverberating chanting concluded when His Holiness lead the massive crowd to 18-time parayana of the most famous prayer of Lord Hanuman. This prayer, Hanuman Chalisa, written in Avadh language was penned by Saint Tulasi Das. Interlaced with the explanation of the divinity of Nature and the need to balance it, Sri Swamiji has captivatingly lead the chanting by the start of which even the sidewalks and roads are fully occupied with the crowds packing any place available to sit and participate in the divine event.
In addition to prayers, Sri Swamiji distributed thousands of saplings to the participants and advised everyone to plant them at their places to protect the nature.
Sharing is caring – As the food grain production and natural resources are declining, Sri Swamiji encouraged everyone to skip a meal and share with the less fortunate. All the participants positively responded to this noble call to share food with the underprivileged.
The prayers of thousands lead by His Holiness Himself is an attempt to appease and stop the most valuable natural element, Water, from giving the humanity any unanticipated trouble in the future. It is very appropriate that this event happened right on the banks of Krishna, the second longest river of the state.
The society that prays together stays together and Sri Swamiji has been leading that effort including the world’s largest gathering of Hanuman Chalisa Chanting, recognized by the Guinness World Records.
All the participants were provided with Food, water and Prasadam (Hanuman Raksha). The government officials including the Government represented by the ministers, law makers, police, municipal authorities and revenue authorities have participated and extended their support for the event.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Chandra Babu Naidu participated, inaugurated the invaluable event by lighting the lamp and received Sri Swamiji’s blessings. The chief of Jana Sena party, Sri Pavan Kalyan participated in the event and received Sri Swamiji’s blessings during the concluding celebrations.
Based in Mysuru, Karnataka, Sri Swamiji has established many ashrams to spread the message of peace around the world. His Holiness Sri Swamiji supports a multitude of social projects to help the downtrodden, including hospitals and schools in India to help the poor and needy, and homes for the aged.
